This new series has been teased by Marvel for awhile now with one of the biggest selling points being Joe Mad doing the art for the first three issues and I have to say, well done! The issue is mostly set up for the series, explaining the cause of Inhumans popping up all over the world and who wants the newly powered beings stopped! Lash seems like a great villain because you can somewhat see his point and he is dedicated to a set of almost religious code when it comes to the birth of new Inhumans. Not everyone deserves power. We are also introduced to one of the main characters, codenamed Inferno. He is a loving brother who is working a job he doesn’t love to provide for the family he does love and isn’t looking back, until his life is changed forever. Medusa, Queen of the Attilian Inhumans (there are a few other tribes of Inhumans around the globe) is reeling after the disappearance (or death) of her husband and son. In her search she comes upon the clash between Lash and the newly empowered Inferno and helps protect Inferno. Inferno will soon need to make a choice whether he will side with Medusa and her kingdom, or find another tribe of Inhumans whom he finds more agreeable.
Really fun issue and the first couple of issues not only come with a digital download so you can read your issue online, but also your very own lithograph from Joe Mad of the new characters appearing in the all-new series. Get one when you buy a new issue in the week of release. Great marketing to get people to buy the beginning issues. The series is suppose to have characters which could die in the same issue he or she is introduced, last for a time and then perish, or stay for the long-haul. Should be interesting!
